It is like the brooches that I have listed - but this one was designed as a pendant necklace. It has its original silver chain with ring and hoop closure. The chain is a good length to it - and it 20 inches in length.

It has an Edinburgh Assay Offce silver hallmark for the year 1976, and with the maker's stamp: CG (for Caithness Glass). It is in lovely condition and is inset with a feature miniature millefiori Caithness glass paperweight in the center.

The pendant is 4 cm in diameter. It is in good condition with no damage. The little miniature paperweight inclusion is scratch-free and with no chips - the catch is a ring closure (as photographed).

My lovely vintage Scottish brooch will be sent to you in lovely clean condition (I will give it a nice polish before packing so that it is all gleaming for you). It does not have its original Caithness box - but will be send to you in an attractive block flock box (with hinged lid).

Postage will be with Royal Mail Tracked (Small Parcel). He had been making small ‘stones’ and setting them into cheap jewel fittings as presents for friends and family.

Caithness Glass saw the commercial potential in them and put Colin Terris in charge of further development. The range was officially launched in December 1970. Colin Terris designed a range of brooches and pendants inspired by traditional Scottish designs (such as the Luckenbooth shape) and hired Lucia Polanski as jewellery designer; she produced the rings, earrings, and cufflinks designs.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0271/1902/6240/files/vintage-1970s-silver-hallmarked-cross-pendant-with-caithness-glass-paperweight-miniature-scottish-jewellery-681.webp?v=1781484193
https://www.iconicedinburgh.co.uk/products/boxed-vintage-1970s-silver-hallmarked-cross-shaped-brooch-with-caithness-glass-paperweight-miniature-copy
