This is a fine piece of Scottish studio glass made by Graham Muir ( who was at Edinburgh College of Art at the same time I studied there! ).

This is a unique piece of glass and takes the form of a sculptural bowl and it resembles a wave or whirlpool - it has little comic figures in the design, as photographed.

It is signed by the artist.

The bowl's diameter roughly: 11 inches at the widest (across the narrowest point it is about 10 inches. Height is about 5 inches.

Graham was born in Edinburgh in 1961 and studied at Edinburgh College of Art from 1979-83, graduating with BA(Hons) in Glass Design. In 1984 he undertook a large commission for engravings of dancers from Saddlers Wells and Royal Ballet dance companies.

During the next two years, Graham was employed as a Glass Assistant by Jenny Antonio and Paul Musgrove (see my fine Musgrove bowl also for sale in my Iconic Edinburgh online store) before starting up his own business in 1987.

He moved to Eskmills, Musselburgh the following year and also joined the Scottish Craft Centre. At this time he began employment as a visiting lecturer at Sunderland University. Over the next several years he joined the council of the Scottish Craft Centre and was appointed vice-chairman.

Today, Graham lives and works in a renovated cottage in Duns, Berwickshire and is still employed as a visiting lecturer at Sunderland University.
He has shown his work in numerous exhibitions throughout the U.K. and also in Toronto and Norway.

My lovely bowl is offered here at a fair price - recent waveform works by Graham often have ticket prices of £2500 attached to them.

It will be posted to you very carefully packed and using Parcelforce24 service - tracked and insured in the UK.
