I have never seen another quite like it.      \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is a has a bit of a Brutalist \/ Deco \/ Industrial vibe to the design.  I have taken lots of images for your inspection, so please look at these carefully.    \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt will certainly look quite at home in an Art Deco or Modernist Industrial Chic interior. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe base is square in shape and made of brass with black abstract phenolic plastic shaped feet and a stepped plinth. It has little brass decorative copper studs at each corner of the square base.    \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFrom the base issues the column of the lamp. The is also square with sharp angles at the corners. The edges have vertical strips of brass and all held in place by lots of little copper rivets (to contrast with the more yellow colour of the brass. At the top, there is another square made of the black phenolic plastic and brass. On this sits the brass bulb holder. A gallery fits onto the brass holder and this is where the angular glass shade fits into. There are wee screws that you tighten up to keep the shade held firmly in place. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe base of the lamp measures: 4 inches square. The lamp height including the gallery is 10 1\/4. From base to the top of the pillar it is 8 inches. The column measures 1 1\/2 inches square. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is in good condition with no damages. It has been recently re-wired for sale and to keep it safe. It has about 2 1\/2 metres of new, antique style 3-core cloth covered flex (dark brown). The on off switch is earthed and is located on the bulb holder. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe shade is certainly a very Deco one. It takes the form of a round globe with peaks all over making it look like a large round pointed star. It is made of frosted pale yellow \/ cream toned glass. All the lines running towards the raised peaks on the shade are made ot transluscent glass and form an attractive abstract Deco pattern. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe old glass shade (it is not a later reproduction) measures about 6 1\/2 inches in height. It has the same diameter. There are no issues to chips to the main body of the shade - however, the neck has a little restored chip to the rim (as photographed). I suspect that it might have been clunked by the gallery in the distant past. The neck and chips are hidded up the upturned edge of the gallery - and you cannot see the wee flawed area when it is sitting on the gallery holder. So unseen when the lamp is on display. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese original old glass star light shades are in themselves hard to find and are keenly sought after. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe overall height of the lamp including the shade is 16 1\/2 inches. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe lamp is working and I have taken an image of it all lit up.
