This is a piece of fabulous original industrial steampunk design.
It is an antique marked holophane glass globe pendant lamp dating to the early 20th Century. It is American in origin. The neck is marked: HOLOPHANE MADE IN USA. PAT-MAP 19 1912 2110.
The metal holder is original to the glass and is also impressed Holophane.
This is a great look for your industrial interior. It is a more unusual one with an almost flying saucer type of shape.
The shade is formed of two glass sections - which clip together - there are two original metal Holophane clips on opposite side of the shade which hold the sections firmly in place (these are as rare as hen's teeth).
It is certainly a very fine interior lamp. It comes complete with all original copper-plated brass fittings and chunky cast brass hanging chains. These fittings are polished to they fairly gleam. There is also the brass ceiling rose and solid ceiling hook. Everything in my photographs will be sent to you - apart from my husband!
This top-quality old shade is in very good antique condition with no nasty chips or damages to the glass. All the fine ribbing to the glass is just lovely and has a nice twinkle to it when it is hit by light.
As with all vintage electrical items, these would have to be re-wired by a competent person; an easy enough job to undertake.
Please note that this is not a later reproduction - but an original antique example - 100 years old now.
It will be sent to UK addresses only (very carefully packed) - and it will be sent to you with Parcelforce48 insured and tracked. This postal service will cost £10
