These are attractive antique Scottish pottery items.
On offer are a little variety grouping - perhaps to start of your collection.
We have two Makmerry plates, one Bough design and another hand-painted plate by Dolly Watson - which is dated 1920 (XX). And called Leaf.
All wee plates date to around the 1920s / 1930s and are hand-painted. They are painted on pottery "blanks" - and are each signed on the base. The china blanks were probably made and supplied by Maling and Sons, Newcastle-on-Tyne.
Dimensions: Bough Plate. Circular with yellow border and wild roses and rosehip decoration. Diameter: just under 4 1/2 inches (£10)
Diamond Shape Plate with Hollyhocks Design - is 3 3/4 inches each side by Mak Merry (£20)
The Mak Merry side plate with Honesty Flowers Pattern and blue bands: Diameter is 6 1/4 inches. (£35)
and the Watson one is just over 7 1/4 inches. This has a dark blue border and central painterly design with oak leaves.
Dolly Watson was the sister-in-law to Elizabeth Armour of the Bough Pottery. I have this one priced at £35.
CONDITION: They are all in fine condition and display well.
