It is known as an Ikora Lamp. This one is in excellent damage free condition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is of bulbous or globular shape - with a very attractive crackle glass finish - the main body colour is a dark claret-red colour - with ochre yellow mottled colours - with bits of green-blue shades within.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn top - is the original chrome lamp fitting (the bulb holder is a new replacement one so that we could earth the fitment for safety (to conform with modern standards). \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe electric flex attaches (as originally designed)  to the chrome collar of the lamp, as photographed - and the lamp is turned on and off with the finger switch on the bulb holder.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe impressed WMF mark is on the chrome fitting: WMF IKORA - and even has its original paper label on the base: Made in Germany\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt does not come with a shade - but should be easy for you to source an appropriate shade to your own taste.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is a fitting and also a light bulb inside the glass base section - and this works as photographed. You can access this by removing the screws on the chrome flitting. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDimensions: The height from base to the chrome fitting on the neck level is 6 3\/4 inches (17 cm). The diameter at the widest is 6 inches (15 cm). \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe weight unpacked is 1.6 kg (it is thickly cased glass). \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt has been re-wired and comes with 3 metres of old gold cloth three core cable. Fully earthed and ready to use. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese original WMF lamps are now highly sought after - and often you might find only the glass body section without any of the chrome fittings.
