This is such a cute wee fellow and a great addition to your collection of inkwells.
He is in lovely antique condition with no damages.
He is a nicely carved Black Forest inkwell with two little pen holder rebates on the triangular base in front of him. He also has his original amber coloured glass eyes - which were added when he was made. He dates to the early part of the 20th Century, probably about the 1930s or 40s.
You lift his head back, you will find inside is a little white ceramic inkpot - again, a nice fit and obviously original. The hinge is nice and secure with no issues.
He has a lovely patina of age - love his wee ears, beak, and feet being stained in a slightly different colour to give extra form to the model.
As nice an example as you might wish to find. Nice and clean too - don't think that he was ever used much - and probably was on a desk in a den as more of a decorative item. Fair price - twit-too!
Dimensions: Height is about 4 1/2 inches. The triangular base is 5 inches wide and with a depth of about 4 inches.
Taken lots of images for your inspection. My price takes into account his fine condition and age.
Postage only in the UK. It will be £4.95 to have him carefully packed and sent to you with Royal Mail Recorded Post. This will be applied at checkout.
