Ltd. \/ College PURE SWEET WORK'S \/ Newcastle Upon Tyne, England.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRare tin, but with some condition issues, but displays well.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWould make a great item for window display in an old fashioned sweetie shop - or on display in a vintage kitchen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI love the stylised Art Nouveau flowers on the lid and running around the outer edge of the tin. I slso love the little advertising logo of the College Boy - shown in an Art Nouveau cartouche to the top - he has chubby cheeks and wears a shiny top hat.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMy asking price reflects this one's early date and rarity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition - red colour fairly vibrant. Some minor rubbing to the decoration. Gilding to areas still nice and shiny (especially around the sides) - with again little areas of rubbing - but more of the more fragile gold colouring is still present.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA few minor dings to the lid - but nothing disfiguring. \u003cspan style=\"font-size: 0.875rem;\"\u003eRelatively clean inside. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 0.875rem;\"\u003eAlthough the tin has a patina of age - the tin has been carefully cleaned by me - and is not dirty or grubby.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTin measures: 11 3\/4 inches in length; and is 8 inches wide (at widest) and with a height of 3 1\/2 inches. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFair price for this early advertising item.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUK Postage will be Royal Mail Tracked (Medium Parcel).
