This is a very stunning piece of vintage hand blown Scottish art glass.
It dates to around the 1930s. With the completely smooth polished base which you find on smaller sized Monart pieces.
It is certainly a beautiful example of vintage Scottish glass with such lovely colours and an attractive ovoid shape.
The base colour is a pretty subtle lilac-pink shade with lots of mottling in the glass. There are lots of swirls of black and thick gold aventurine inclusions - they fair twinkle when they catch the light.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
It has been rather difficult to photograph due to all the reflections on the thick clear outer casing and the very subtle colours of this piece - but you won't be disappointed with it. It looks much better in "real life".
With a height of 5 inches. Diameter at the widest point is 3 3/4 inches.
Weight unpacked is 330 g.
