It also has a marker's stamp: BM. This is recorded as being used by the Birmingham Mint in the 1970s - so  on this basis and on the style of the brooch, I would date this one as dating to the 1970s (some 50 years old now). \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIt has probably been made by a little Scottish craftsman - as the design is a more unusual one. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe pin has a hexagonal head inset with a green stone and little silver balls all around. Two more balls are on each end of the hoop section. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIt is a nice form - more contemporary than traditional Celtic designs - but a fine piece of Scottish jewellery.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIt is sold nice and clean - the pin is nice and sharp with no issues. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe brooch measures: about 4 cm in diameter at the widest point. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eI will pop it in a little card gift box to send to you and will be sent with Royal Mail Tracked Postage.
