I think that he may be an ancient Highland huntsman - as he has a deer slung over the shoulder of his horse in front of him. He wears a tall feather bonnet and a kilt - which shows off his knobbly knees... lol!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe figurine is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe paintwork to this piece is minimalistic - with just his little face and boots painted with colour.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is a little craquelure to the glaze, but quite minor in nature, The horse's legs are intact with no damage.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA nice large piece is just over 14 inches in height. This is being sold as a guaranteed antique Staffordshire flatback figure - dating to around the 1860s.
