It has its original red mount around the image - and is then framed. The frame is a more modern frame. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn stylistic grounds, it probably dates to the early 20th century. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis one features a full-length portrait of a nobleman. It is painted in watercolours highlighted with gold.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe image shows an Indian gentleman dressed fine white tunic. The tunic is translucent and you can see through the skirt section to his fitted brown trousers below. The tunic is embellished with little gold patterns and gold edging. He has a warm brown colour sash or belt around his waist - this is embellished with gold. He wears a brown cap with a small trailing black feather to the rear - and has little dark blue slippers. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis one has a painted background. The sky is a pale blue and there are a few little clouds on the upper margin. The lower section of the background is green to represent a lush meadow - little plants are seen near the lower margin. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe frame is a later one - but it looks just fine on the little artwork. It is a nice clean painting- all ready to hang on your wall. I have taken lots of images so you can see all the details in the work. It will look lovely on display.  There is a little ripple to the paper but not noticeable when the work is hung.
