These are often nicknamed: Goldfish Bowl or Flycatcher Shade. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt dates to the 1930s and is very Art Deco in both shape and decoration.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is a nice large size as you can see in my photographs and is certainly is a gorgeous example.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is a large bowl shape - with made from white frosted glass - with stepped details around the base - and around the side etched and painted stencil decorations - these are stylised and they remind me of blue and red abstract thistles. The stencil work is not a later addition - but it original to the glass shade. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt has its original hanging chains and hooks attachments - these are very unusual and decorative in their own right.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt certainly looks much better in real life than it does in my photographs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is a nice larger size. The measurements are 14 inches in diameter and 7 inches in height.
