{"product_id":"lord-kitchener-antique-slip-cast-staffordshire-figurine","title":"Lord Kitchener. 1900s Antique Slip Cast Staffordshire Figurine","description":"\u003cp\u003eThis is an interesting late 19th Century figurine.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is a slip cast model and made in Staffordshire about 1899 \/ early 1900s.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe figurine shows the Boer War leader (and WWI campaigner) Lord Kitchener - as annotated on the base of the figure.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe is shown on his horse and in his uniform.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe figure is made of a cream colour ceramic - with is highlighted here and there with gold gilt.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe horse's eye and mouth have been painted and the grassy bank behind the horse has been painted in with brown and brown glazes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is a nice large size just under 12 inches in height - and about 8 inches wide.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe figurine is a genuine antique example - and certainly NOT a modern reproduction.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is in excellent antique condition with no damages.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe figure is often paired with a pendant figurine showing General French on horseback - and good clean examples I have seen on offer for around $850 the pair - so my one is certainly listed at a fair price given he is in pristine condition - you often find damage to the neck on this piece. \u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Iconic Edinburgh","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":31617347223616,"sku":"Sold for £95","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0271\/1902\/6240\/files\/lord-kitchener-1900s-antique-slip-cast-staffordshire-figurine-figure-626.webp?v=1787142366","url":"https:\/\/www.iconicedinburgh.co.uk\/products\/lord-kitchener-antique-slip-cast-staffordshire-figurine","provider":"Iconic Edinburgh","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
