Hallmarked Scottish Silver Vintage 1970s Burrian Cross Pendant","description":"\u003cp\u003eThis is a rarer to fine hallmarked Sterling silver pendant made by the Scottish silversmith, Ola Gorie of Orkney.   \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHer design features a Burrian Cross with decorative twisting patterns shown in silver and set against a dark acid effect background.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis Ola Gorie Silver pendant measures 4 cm square, not including the bale or hanging hoop. It is beautifully made with black enamel work and raised silver decoration to the front and a plain polished reverse. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe reverse has the maker’s initials at the back OMG. I can't quite make out the date letter on the hallmark – but it is one that might have been applied in the late 1970s. It has been assayed in Edinburgh.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe chain is a nice thick one and measures a total of 21 inches.
