There are no dots or pixelation present on the surface of the print when viewed through a magnifying glass - reproductions have a mesh of coloured dots making up the image as photographic copies. The paper surface is matt and does not have a modern sheen. The colour is deep and uniform over the whole surface of the poster. All the details are nice and crisp with no blurring, that you often find on larger reproductions.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is in excellent condition and has the words: Printed in Great Britain along the bottom margin and the issue number 57\/833. The poster sheet is a Double Crown and measures \u003cspan\u003e76 cm x 50 cm (30 x 20 inches, below the window mount edges).  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eFrame Size is 95.5 x 68 cm. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is certainly a most vibrant and lively poster and in a style typical of the 50s and very much a tourist's vision of Scottish culture. The film Brigadoon with released in 1955 and this also fostered the idea of Scotland being the land of tartan and shortbread! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll the same, it is certainly a harder to find poster - perhaps they did not issue such a large print run for a Scottish market. You do find a lot of modern reproductions of this poster (in a variety of sizes) as it remains a popular nostalgic image. But original 1950s issues - well, you just don't see them that often. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe poster features abstracted forms of three Scotsmen in their distinctive red Royal Stewart tartan kilts undertaking the Sword Dance. I love that the swords are made up of the trails coming from the BOAC airplanes flying towards Scotland.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMy poster is in fabulous vintage condition with no signs of damage or fading. It is framed in a more contemporary heavy black wooden frame and ready for you to hang on your wall. I have had to take some of my photographs through the glass of the frame - so it has been rather difficult to photograph.
