There is little information about the company, but it seems to have had some financial problems and closed down in 1979. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThese bark vases are always attractive pieces - and are often mistaken for Whitefriars pieces - but rest assured these are not the British ones - but Glashutte German pieces.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThese two vases sit nicely together on display. The have a deep bark texture and with thick textured clear glass on the base. The rim is thick and polished smooth. The red and green colours are most attractive - and again very similar to colours used at Whitefriars. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThese examples are harder to source and of higher quality than other Glashutte pieces. They come from my own personal collection and have owned these for many years - doing a little bit of a thin out at home!
