This is a really fabulous piece of mid-century Scandinavian ceramics.
It is a lidded casserole or serving dish - I would just use it for serving at a dinner party - as far too gorgeous to use in the oven.
The pot comes from Norway and was made by the pottery Figgjo Flint (as marked on the base).
The pattern is the more sought-after Granada one.
The design is highly collectable and certainly very pretty with their little blue and green spots or polka dots running around a section of the edge combined with what looks like abstract seed pods.
The casserole measures some 4 3/4 inches in height - including the big flat round knop on the top - and from handle to handle it is about 8 1/4 inches. The diameter of the lid is just over 6 1/4 inches.
It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks - nice and clean inside and on the base.
