The other one that I had in stock was more highly coloured and perhaps more decorative. That one has now sold. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis one is a nice large size. Height is 13 ¼ inches.  It is in excellent antique condition and dates to the mid to late 19th century. \u003cspan\u003eReference: Harding Book 1, Page 35, Fig 57\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHere, we have a standing figure of the poet - his face and hands are the only coloured areas and painted with subtle flesh tones - his clothes are white with details picked out in gold. His hair and boots are a simple black colour.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBurns is shown in a romantic pose gazing in reverie and out into the distance. He holds a book of his poetry in his hand - and in the other a Scotch bonnet or Tam O'Shanter hat - a reference to one of his most famous poems.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe is in excellent condition with no disfiguring damages - there is a fine and stable firing crack on the base, as photographed. This is not damage but has occurred in the making. There is a little rubbing to the tip of his nose - but a minor issue commensurate with age.
