There are lots of black flecks around the rim - and lots of gold aventurine flakes. The flecks really twinkle in the light. There is a band of black-flecked swirls coming from the top and onto the middle section. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe base of the vase has been polished flat and retains its paper label.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is certainly a beautiful example of traditional Scottish glass. The grey colour would fit in perfectly with more contemporary interiors. \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eExcellent condition with no chips or cracks.  I have priced this to take into account its unusual light grey shade, and all the swirls \u0026amp; gold flecks in this. It also has its original label.
