It is MI Shape Size IX.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt takes the form of a thistle. The base section is a vibrant scarlet red  colour. The rim and neck section has clear, brown and black glass. The darker coloured glass is mottled with sworls meeting the red base. There are a lot of subtle gold aventurine in the black area.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pontil is a flat polished one that you find on lots of smaller Monart vases and bowls. This is a customary finish to the base on the smaler MI Shape pieces. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMy vase is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.  My vase measures measures 5 inches in height.
