This finely shaped larger size Art Glass bowl. It is certainly a good starter piece for your collection of Scottish glass.  It would make a fabulous fruit bowl or would look good as a display piece on a bureau or low coffee table.   \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe base section of the bowl is a darker sugar-pink colour. Travelling up the side of the bowl towards the flared rim, you have a speckled trail of bright blue glass that forms swirls that sweep into the pink area below. Above, we have peppermint slightly speckled glass around the rim. The bowl sits on a chunky foot and has a lovely shape when it is seen in profile.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe base is polished and there is an raise (as you might find in earlier Monart pieces) circular pontil mark. The Vasart signature has been acid etched on the base, as photographed. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe bowl was very reflective with a shine to the glass surface - it was rather difficult to photograph - so I hope that my photographs do it justice. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAs you can see from my photographs - it is an interesting piece and looks great on display.
