It looks just fine at home with my other Monart pieces. But it dates to a slightly later period. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThis is a standard shallow dish. It is certainly a good starter piece for your collection of Scottish glass. It is not far in style from my other Monart items listed here - and if it wasn't for the signature on the base - I would have thought it was an earlier Monart one. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe body colour is a  mottled sugar-pink glass which gets lighter towards the rim.  There are lots of silver glitter flecks in the glass around the rim. The base is polished and there is an indented ground-down pontil mark. The Vasart signature has been acid etched on the base, as photographed. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAs you can see from my photographs - it is an interesting piece and looks great on display.
