Caterpillar by William Manson","description":"\u003cp\u003eThis is one of a small number of beautiful Scottish paperweights designed by the glass maestro William Manson - which are available my \u003cspan\u003eIconic Edinburgh online \u003c\/span\u003estore.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis lovely is called Caterpillar (CT 977)- and is un-numbered with an edition number - so perhaps the prototype design and comes from a very small edition of only 50 of these weights issued.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis fine weight must have been really time-consuming to make - look at all the intricate details on the flowers and the little caterpillar.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is a tiny WM cane - which is placed to the left side of the caterpillar, as photographed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt has an etched inscription on the base: Caterpillar Caithness Scotland\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt was issued in 1993 as part of the traditional collect - and the original issue price for this beautiful weight was £195.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSo my asking price is certainly a very fair one.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSadly - it has no certificate, but with a little velvet Caithness storage bag.
