The diameter at the rim is 3 1/4 inches. The diameter at the base is just over 4 inches. As you can see the base sweeps out and makes this vase very stable.

It is in excellent condition and looks fabulous on display. It has no chips or cracks. There is a little fine antique craquelure to the surface which is commensurate with age and the type of glaze used on this pottery. Please look at my images on the listing in close-up view. There is also a little wobble to the rim which occurred in the making.

It is amazing that these pieces have survived in this condition given that they are now about 140 years old. They all looks as if they could have been made only yesterday.

There is an old price sticker on this piece on the base - stating that the previous owner had purchased this for £148... phew! so my price appears to be indeed a very fair price.

Inventory code: CC

It will be sent to you in the UK with Royal Mail Tracked - this will be applied at the checkout.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0271/1902/6240/files/scottish-pottery-1880s-spongeware-vase-with-floral-pattern-links-kirkcaldy-methven-854.webp?v=1791630425
https://www.iconicedinburgh.co.uk/products/scottish-pottery-1880s-spongeware-vase-floral-pattern-links-kirkcaldy-methven-2
