Victorian Bo'ness Pottery Pair of Large Upright Spaniels, circa 1900","description":"\u003cp\u003eThese are a beautiful pair of antique Scottish Bridgeness \/ Bo'ness Pottery Russet and White Spaniel or Collie Type Dogs with Brown Glass Eyes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThey were made at Bo'ness Pottery and date to around 1900.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThey are in excellent condition with no damages of any kind. They have their original glass eyes.  This is a really large pair - they measure 13 inches in height and are about 9 inches wide. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIn the 18th century, Bo’ness was one of the most thriving towns on the east coast and ranked as the third port in Scotland. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAmong the town's many thriving industries was pottery production and Bo'ness soon became established as one of the main pottery-producing areas in the country. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003ePottery production in the town lasted for almost 200 years. It reached its heyday at the end of the 19th century when three factories were operating simultaneously at Bo'ness, Grangepans and Bridgeness.
