Tain Pottery was established in 1996 when the pottery purchased a derelict steading on a run-down farmyard at Aldie (just south of the Royal Burgh of Tain), in the Scottish Highlands. The pottery is run in partnership by Messers R. Hudson and A. Pett as "The Tain Pottery". The studio overlooks the surrounding Highland landscape which provides a constant source of inspiration for the original designs, all of which are individually hand painted by a team of artists. Visitors are welcome at the studio.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0271/1902/6240/files/scottish-pottery-vintage-tain-stoneware-trio-hand-painted-buchanan-tartan-pattern-four-available-526.webp?v=1791505387
https://www.iconicedinburgh.co.uk/products/scottish-pottery-vintage-tain-pottery-trio-cup-saucer-side-plate-stoneware-buchanan-tartan
