Heavy Cast Bronze

A large and very sculptural crucifixion model. It is a unique cast bronze cross and a genuine vintage piece. It is made in Germany.

This is a most interesting item and very nicely made. The detailing is very fine. It is a quality item and a nice large size. This is reflected in my asking price.

It is not signed but has an impressed mark which reads “Germany” on the back of one hand. It is reminiscent of early 20th-century German Expressionist sculptures or similar religious works by Eric Gill.

The figure is heavy and the bronze has a lovely dark patina which comes with age, probably dating from the 1950s or 60s on stylistic evidence.

The overall height is 40 cm and the main figure is about 20 cm.

The figure is metal and the cross is made of a German hardwood.

This is not a "tourist" or "souvenir" item but a beautifully made unique artistic piece (this is reflected in my asking price).

It will be sent to you with Royal Mail Tracked post (Medium Parcel).
