This is a sweet little Scottish silver lapel brooch in the form of a claymore sword.
It is silver (marked Sterling Silver on the back as photographed) and has two agates set into the sword blade.
The basket handle at the back is inset with a little amethyst stone - which you can see in bright light when viewed from the side.
The basket part of the sword has two decorative handle decorations.
There are initials on the back for the maker W.J.
It is a lovely example with no condition issues.
A nice firm pin which is held in place with a little simple c-scroll clasp on the back.
A little miniature piece which would embellish Vintage Scottish cap or beret - or look good in a jacket lapel.
It measures 5 cm or 2 inches in length.
Listed at a very fair price for this fine period piece. It will be sent to you in a simple little black card gift box.
