It dates to the Edwardian era - and has a registration mark running upright on the leaf section on the base. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe lamp is made of brass and has a round circular base. In the center of the base is a decorative domed shape made up of conjoined leaves. There is a pinched diabelo shaped section above this where the electric cable enters. And above are more elongated leaf shapes. There is another pinched decoration with little rings top and borrom halfway up the upstand section of the lamp. It has an earthed brass bulb holder with an on and off toggle switch.  I have taken lots of images for your inspection.   \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is a wee ding to the top of one of the leaf sections on the base, as photographed. This is not immediately evident and does not distract from the fine quality of this antique lamp. You wll have to look long and hard to find another just like it. The little ding is reflected in my lower asking price.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe lamp is an elegant uplighter and it is good for lighting up darker corners with an upwards wash. The white and clear glass shade is more more like a frilled tulip shape (my other two just listed have more saucer shape shades). \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe brass is a nice yellow gold colour - so a nice and bright polished brass.  Both the brass lamp section is in generally good condition and the glass shade is excellent with no damages  The lamp has been fully re-wired so all ready for you to just plug in and use. It takes a standard UK bayonet bulb fitting. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is a good classic design - dating to the 1920s. It has a good bit of weight to it - and it is well made and substanial. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDimensions: Overall Height including the glass shade is 17 inches. The diameter of the base is 5 inches. The diameter of the shade is 5 1\/2 inches. The height of the lamp minus the shade is 13 inches.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is all reflected in my asking price. It will have to be sent to you with Royal Mail Tracked (Mediuim Parcel).
