Four 19th Century Hand Coloured Engravings","description":"\u003cp\u003eThis is a little group of 19th-century copperplate engravings.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThey are probably from a rare antiquarian book which would have featured more images of Swiss Regional Costumes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese compilations featuring illustrations of European costumes were very popular in the early 19th century with a revived interest in travel and tourism on the Continent after the end of the Napoleonic Wars.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese studies probably date to the 1820s and were published in Paris.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn offer here are four unframed original engravings.
