This is a lovely large pillow shaped faience vase which was designed by Nils Thorsson (1898 - 1975) in the late 1960s.
It is part fo the BACA series for made for Royal Copenhagen.
The vase has a brown coloured ground, which is covered all over with stylised birds. The bird are in an applied mustard yellow glaze with with grey wing feathers.
The base is marked with the Aluminia mark, and the model number 714 / 3223.
It has the monogramed for Nils Thorsson and his signature.
Thorsson's exacting work is seen at this very best in this highly detailed and complex relief pattern vase.
It is in excellent condition with no damages.
Height: 8 inches; the width is just over 6 inches - and the depth is just over 4 inches.
Unpacked it weights 765 grams.
