He began working at Orrefors in 1928 and pioneered the Aerial glass technique. In the 1940s he moved to Uppsala Ekeby where he concentrated on designing ceramics. \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eHe returned to glass design in the 1950s - but didn't return to Orrefors Glass - but instead to the other leading glass firm, Kosta, where he was appointed artistic director. \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eYou find examples of Lindstrand's work in many international museums and collections. \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThis lovely iconic design by Lindstrand. It is signed Kosta LH 1089. This dates the vase to 1955. It is more of a minimalistic form and design. It would look good in the stylish mid-century modern interior. The base is a thick clear layer and the main body is clear with mutli-colour threads of black, white, and red running through it. \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe vase is 7 inches in height - and at the widest point, it is just over 3 1\/2 inches.
