The little legs are without damages. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe officer wears a big white coloured hat with a pink feather plume. A shiny dark cobalt blue tunic with gold coloured epaulettes. He has white breeches and long past the knee riding boots. He salutes the viewer.  He perhaps is a military leader or officer who was involved in the Crimean War conflict. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese little figurines would have been prizes at funfairs or perhaps sold by itinerant peddlers who would have little trinkets and ornaments of popular figures of the day or topical news subjects. He would have travelled from village to village selling this sort of item. They were often quite basically made - with simple modelling and paintwork - this one is slightly more elaborate in shape and colour. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFair price for this pretty equestrian subject.
