The colours are detailing are typical of these figurines which were produced in the 1850s.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a much rare figurine of a young Prince of Wales (the future King Edward VII), It is most probably based on a photograph of him holding a cap - and instead of the yacht, the photo shows a telescope on the table. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis rare little figure shows the Prince when he was a little boy - dressed like a gentleman wearing a little blue jacket, with a brown waistcoat below, white linen shirt, plain white trousers, and carrying a little yellow straw boater hat. He stands beside a table with a green tablecloth and on top is an orange cushion. On top is a little pond yacht. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis little figure is a representation of one of Queen Victoria's children - the Prince of Wales. The Queen's children were perennial favourites for Staffordshire modellers. This image of the young Prince standing beside his yacht - is known in a number of variants.
