This is a fine vintage 1970s table lamp.
It is made from a very heavy ceramic - and then hand finished with lusters, bronzed and textured to look like it has been cast from bronze metal.
It is biomorphic in shape and reminds me of the work of the British sculptors, Henry Moore or Barbara Hepworth - with their use of holes and shaped apertures to allow you to see right through the forms.
Add a nice chocolate brown drum-shaped shade of your choice - and you will have a fabulous show-stopper of a lamp for your Scandi-modern interior.
The lamp has a metal and chrome bayonet switch section at the top - which takes UK B22 Standard Light bulbs. It also has a very long length of white electric flex, about 3 meters.
Dimensions: height of the main body is 12 1/2 inches. The height including the bulb holder is 16 1/4 inches. The base is 5 3/4 x 4 inches.
The weight unpacked is 4.6 kg.
It is a very substantial table lamp and is in excellent undamaged condition - I have taken lots of photographs from a multitude of angles to that you can easily assess both the condition and form of this very unusual period lamp.
