It is a very good quality example - and is shaped like a lollipop. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is one of two similar pieces that I currently have for sale in my shop. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Phoenician Glass Company was founded on Manoel Island, Malta in the 1980s. The founder was Leonard Sullivan - who was a former worker at the celebrated Mdina Glass factory. Many of the pieces from this date are very similar to designs made by Michael Harris. Phoenician Glass was named after the ancient civilization that colonized Malta during the 1st Millenium BC. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis early 80s piece is indeed very similar to Lollipop vases designed at Mdina and the Isle of Wight - so it would fabulous in your collection of these pieces. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is a very large and heavy example - and it is covered with dull silver or pewter tone thick ribbon-like trails and old gold lustres with areas of peacock lustres to the surface - it is just amazing. I hope that my images have done this piece justice. The lustres are much more of a golden hue than suggested by my photos - and it is quite like eosin colours and finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt certainly is a bit of a showstopper! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDimensions: Height is 8 3\/4 inches and with a diameter of the main body section of 6 1\/4 inches. Depth of 2 1\/2 inches. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStonking weight: it is 1.7 kg in weight unpacked. It will have to be sent to you with Parcelforce24 due to the weight.
