This is an attractive piece of Swedish pottery.
It takes the form of a minimalistic and stylish teapot and dates to the 1980s.
It was designed by Marie Louise Hellgren for Hoganas Ceramics - as marked on the base.
It is a nice large size and holds about 2 litres of tea. So great for a few people to have tea and cakes together at "fika" time.
It is made of white colour clay - with an attractive egg-shell terracotta coloured glaze - this colour is a harder one to find in this range.
The dimensions are 5 3/4 inches (14.5 cm in height, not counting the handle). The diameter is 7 1/2 inches (19cm) and the length from the handle to the spout is 8 1/4 (21 cm).
Unpacked it weighs 1.3 kg - so I will have to send it as a larger Parcelforce recorded delivery parcel to you.
It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. It is nice and clean inside. The handle is a bentwood one which swings - nice and sturdy and with no restoration or wear. There is a little flaw to the glaze on one side near the base - this is a tiny wee chafe to the glaze surface done in the making of the pot. It is certainly hardly noticeable - and noted here for accuracy. This has been taken into account with my pricing here.
I have taken lots of images for your inspection.
