This is a vintage metal toy till or shop cash register. It was made by Codeg, as annotated on the front of the money drawer. It is a lovely heavy example and a substantial one. It dates to the 1950s.
It can by used as a novelty toy - or just would look great as a display item in an old-fashioned shop, as not so many tills are used in payment of goods in shops these days.
All the buttons on the till keys are present- and the currency is pre-decimalization - in pence and shillings. The drawer opens with a cute pinging sound when you press the No Sale Key. The other keys show the prices in the window above the till. Ka-Ching!
This model is slightly rarer in having a complete metallic blue finish and the red drawer. It is certainly a fine quality one and so well made.
Dimensions: The height is 7 1/4 inches The width is 17 cm (6 3/4 inches) and the depth is 7 1/4 inches.
I have taken lots of images of your inspection.
It is a very nice example - generally nice and clean. Some rubbing to the red paint inside the drawer indicative of the till being used in the past - but a great display piece.
It is a rather heavy item and is nearly 2 kg unpacked. Tracked Postage with the Royal Mail will cost £7. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
