Glossy Red and Black Finis

This is an amazing mid-century Italian table lamp.

It was designed by Alvino Bagni and stands at a massive 17 1/2 inches in height. It has a black all-over glaze with abstract decorations in red. The glaze is very shiny and almost appears to be a polished metallic surface.

It is marked Italy on the base, as photographed. This is the mark commonly used on Bagni pieces. It also has the remnants of an old label on the base with the production number.

It is certainly a show-stopper and I can't believe that it has survived so many years without any damage. I have had it re-wired before listing. It has an on-off finger switch on the bulb holder.

It measures 17 1/2 inches in height and has a diameter of 11 inches at the widest point. It is a bit of a beast. Unpacked it weighs in at 4.5 kg.

£495.
