It is made by Vasart Glass and dates to around the 1950s.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIt is a nice size for display - being just over 2 inches in height and with a diameter at the widest point of about 2\/4 inches. \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe ground is an attractive dark burnt orange or dusky red colour. This is confined to the center of the paperweight base. It has a total of nine latticino spokes. This weight has a larger and much more pronounced central rosette - it consists of very brightly coloured millefiori canes - the central ring is dark orange and yellow - and the outer rosette ring is a bright Royal Blue and then lemon yellow. \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe fine latticino twist spokes issue from the rosette and are white and red colour. There are millefiori canes in each section between the wee spokes - these are mainly white and a vivid tangerine colour. \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe dome has more of a grey tinge to the glass - and not as clear in tone as you would find in later Scottish weights.
