This is a rare survivor from the 1960s.
It is a vintage tin tray for serving beer from in a bar setting. Not only is it functional but it is also a strange display item for a cocktail bar. Cigarette smoking is much out of favour these days - but this tray is a reflection of different tastes in acceptable advertising and bad habits over 50 years ago. This blue colour is much associated with the Bristol brand.
My serving tray is in lovely condition as you can see in my images - just a couple of the tiniest of scuffs to the left-hand side - but no nasty scratches, paint loss, or dents to the metal surface.
It looks like it has been packed away for many years - as all the colours are also bright and vibrant.
The image on the front is used to advertise Bristol Tipped Cigarettes - these are arranged in almost a halo shape around the text in the center. This is made to look like the words are printed onto a sign that you might find on a shop door.
The back of the tray is painted with its original egg-shell finish gold paint - it has no scratches or scuffs.
I have taken lots of images for your inspection. My price takes into account the rarity of this tray, the quirky imagery, and its place in advertising history. You won't find such nice examples easily.
