This is a harder-to-find vintage rubberoid bar advertising figurine or figure dating to the 1940s or 1950s.
It takes the form of the Scottish poet, Robert Burns - and he is being used to advertise Robbie Burns Fame Old Scotch Whisky - as annotated on the base of the figurine.
He is made of a hard rubberoid composition - and measures some 13 1/4 inches in height.
The base measures 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches.
He is in excellent condition with no damages and all the paintwork is original to the figure. You often find degradation in the rubber and cracking of the paint surface in these rubberoid models - but this one is in really excellent condition - and looks wonderful on display. Any white marks on my images are not on the model - but are just reflections so no blemishes.
He has no sticky surface if you handle him and no nasty smells etc.
This vintage advertising figure is priced to take into account its wonderful condition and its rarity.
Weight unpacked it just under 500 grams.
