This is a very eye-catching and large vintage 1930s glass light shade - it looks a little like an upside-down ice cream cone!
The pendant shade is a fine Art Deco one with lots of geometrical hive-shaped raised angular facets all around.
It is made of thick glass - decorated with mottled orange and white glass - made to look like marble. The shape is just stunning and I have taken lots of images for your inspection.
It has a heavy old polished brass cap or gallery section at the top of the shade - which screws onto the glass shade. - and has a lovely large decorative hanging ring (which you could use to hang directly from your ceiling if you didn't want to have the long chain section on the pendant. The lamp with its long chain is perfect for rooms with higher ceilings - or in a staircase of an entrance hall.
The shade has a good quality brass chain through which the lamp cable or flex snakes - it also has a nice matching brass ceiling rose and a large round hook (echoing the one on the shade gallery) to hang the shade from.
The shade is in excellent condition and is lovely & clean with no damage.
Dimensions: The height from the tip of the glass shade to the top of the brass gallery section is 11 inches. The diameter of the glass shade at the widest is 8 inches. The length of the chain with ceiling rose is 22 inches. The overall length of the shade and handing fitments is 33 inches.
It is all wired and ready for you to hang from your ceiling fitment.
