This is a great decorative porcelain plate designed by the Danish artist, Bjorn Wiinbald for Rosenthal Studio Line.
It comes from a series of Christmas Plates that he designed annually for Rosenthal.
This one was made for 1983.

This one comes from the O Tannenbaum / Christmas Carols series. It relates to the Carol: Silent Night
Wiinblad shows the Holy Family with the Baby Jesus. People gather around to look on in wonder. I love all the patterns and colours that Wiinblad has used - the scene does not look so much like Bethlehem - but rather the Tivoli Gardens!
It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, etc.
A nice large wall charger measuring some 11 inches in diameter. It is a great item to put on display at Christmas. These plates were very popular issues and are easier to source - this is reflected in my lower asking price for these lovely ones.
