This is a fabulous piece of mid-century Italian art glass.
It comes from the Empoli area of Italy.
It is a fine large piece of glass with no damages.
It measures some 12 inches in height and has a diameter at the widest point of 4 inches.
It is certainly a most eye-catching piece - with the main body colour made of a kingfisher blue glass. The vase has a textured pulled wave pattern - this is created with the use of applied milk glass - opaque white glass - which has been worked into the vase when it was still hot.
As you can see from my photographs - a very unusual and attractive piece of Italian glass.
It weighs 750 grams unpacked.
