This is a fine vintage Scottish Silver brooch designed by Ola Gorie.
It is a small piece - and measures 2.5 cm wide by 3.5 cm in height.
It comes with a silver chain that is 18 inches in length - so not so long. And is 2 mm wide. The bale or hoop for hanging the chain through is a nice wide one - for easy for you to swap over a chain it you wish a slightly longer one.
This is a nice little piece for someone who likes more understated and subtle jewellery.
I think it is an earlier rare piece - as I have been unable to find another with an exact design. It looks like similar pieces made by Gorie that take inspiration from Celtic Designs in the Book of Kells.
It is marked on the back OMG (Ola Gorie) and ST.SIL for sterling silver.
It will be sent in a nice gift box to you. I will give it a little polish before I post to you so that it is all lovely and shiny.
Listed at a fair price given the very intricate design, its early date and it's rarity.
It is in excellent vintage pre-loved condition with no damages. It is perfectly clean and fine in all respects - ready to wear.
