This is a stylish 1960s / 1970s desktop or tabletop mirror. The design takes its inspiration from G-plan furniture and it would certainly look great on a nice teak bureau or chest of drawers.
I currently have a slightly larger square-shaped on a wooden stand available in my store.
This one has two ball ball joints on the reserve which allows the mirror to be titled up and down. The mirror is a very sturdy example - and with a lot of weight to it - it does not fall over when moved and when the mirror is in its designated position it stays nice and firmly in place.
The comes on a heavy-duty plywood base with a teak veneer. This is boomerang shape - and has green felt on the base so that it doesn't scratch your furniture.
The stand is attached to the round wooden backed mirror section with two large decorative brass bolts. These allow the mirror on its pivots to angle the mirror section. I have taken lots of images of these special fittings.
The mirror has a gold-coloured trim all around (again as photographed).
It is a nice large size - and is 44.5 cm in height. The diameter of the mirror is 41 cm. Unpacked it is 3.2 kg in weight.
The mirror is in excellent condition with no scratches or chips. It is substantial and of good quality. The whole item is certainly very attractive and beautifully crafted. It will look fabulous in a Scandi-modern interior.
