This is one of two matching lamps that I have currently on my website.

This is an original 1970s issue - and it is a space-age table lamp with a chrome base and double-layered plastic shade.
The lamp is probably Italian in origin (but possibly retailed through BHS or a similar store) - and takes inspiration from slightly more sophisticated designs made by Guzzini at this time.
This is a lovely and much sought-after lamp - and it is rare for you to find two available in the same shop.
The base is made of shiny chromed steel and has a diameter of 8 1/ 4 inches. The base depth is 3 /4 inch. The upstand issues from the base. The stand on both lamps is lovely and straight & firm.
The height from the base to the top of the shade is 17 1/2 inches. From the base to the top of the pointy finial is 20 inches.
The exterior shade has a diameter of 12 inches.
The shade is more unusual in that it has a clear smokey brown outer shade - and the interior one is a cafe-creme colour.
Sadly, there are a number of splits to the inner shade (some are just over a cm in length) where it meets the metal decorative cap at the top. This is age-related as the plastic is not a little more fragile. You can only really see these when looking down on the light. But if have the lamp and the shade placed about eye level, then you will never see them. That is the only flaw - apart from that in just fabulous condition. You might be able to repair it if you are nimble-fingered.
These double-layered shades are now much harder to find. The little condition issue is reflected in an even lower asking price for this one. This is a very fair one.
The lamp also has a finger switch so that you can turn it on and off easily and not always have to put it off the wall socket.
The lamps would only take a 40 W lamp (or cool LED one) - it is a bayonet fitting.
