This is a lovely vintage 1970s Scottish paperweight. It is made by Perthshire / Strathearn Paperweights.
It does not have a P cane - but not all early Perthshire weights did always have a cane in them. I think that this is a PP1 design by Perthshire rather than a Strathearn one.
This is a particular favourite weight with me - as the colours are so vibrant and a more unusual colour combination.
It is about 2 inches in height and with a diameter at the widest point of about 2 3/4 inches.
The ground is a rich dark blue colour with a central pontil mark on the base (as photographed)
It has a total of nine short spokes with latticinio twists in red, white and blue. . There is a central cane is pale white with a first outer ring of green and white millefiori canes. The second ring is periwinkle pale and white. There are canes in each section between the spokes - these are white, pale yellow, orange and pale grey - a strange combination of colours.
It is in fine vintage condition for display - no major chips or cracks or surface scratches.
This beautiful weight looks even nicer in "real life" than in my photographs.
